CST Bearing was founded in 1991 by Hal "Craig" Townsend, a U.S. Army veteran who spent most of his early career at King Bearing. When King Bearing was acquired by Applied, Craig chose independence over integration, and built CST with his wife Carolyn on careful sourcing, honest communication about stock and lead times, and direct relationships with respected European and Japanese manufacturers.
Thirty-five years later, CST is still independent, still veteran-owned, and still run on those same principles.

That independence is the point — it lets us match the right part to the job, whether that means one of the brands we stock or one we source on your behalf.
